Pacific Biodiesel celebrates being named one of Hawaii’s “Best Places to Work for the 13th consecutive year!

Pacific Biodiesel has once again been named by Hawaii Business Magazine as one of the Best Places to Work in Hawai‘i. The annual award is based in large part on responses from employee questionnaires.

In April, Pacific Biodiesel Co-founders Bob and Kelly King hosted long time employees from each island operation at the Hilton Hawaiian Village for the Best Places to Work Awards Banquet.

Joining them were: Doug Olds, R&D Manager from Hawaii Island – 11 years; Dana Shinsato, Oahu Fleet Manager – 13 years; and Beth Mathias, Marketing Associate based on Maui – 14 years.

Director of Operations Jenna Long said, “We are grateful for our employees who are committed to working together to support our mission and each other.”

Pacific Biodiesel has received this prestigious award every year since 2011. Among the company benefits cited by the employees were the company’s fuel discounts, employer match to 401Ks, and being a part of the company’s commitment to Hawaii’s renewable energy future.

“When it comes to dedicated, hard-working employees, our cup runneth over!” said Kelly King.

Attending the April 5th event were (L to R) Kelly King, Doug Olds, Bob King, Beth Mathias and Dana Shinsato.
